Academic degree: Graduation (1996), Master (1998) and Doctorate (2003) degrees in Computational Physics from the University of São Paulo where she developed projects in the field of computer vision and material analysis. Post-doctorate (2012) at Lawrence National Berkeley Laboratory in California at Data Analytics & Visualization Group.
Job: She is currently an associate professor in the Computing Department at the Federal University of Ouro Preto. She teaches at the pos graduation courses of Computer Science and Master of Instrumentation, Control, and Automation of Mining Processes.
Expertise: She has experience in image processing and analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning, working mainly in decision support systems. His projects are related to the construction of computational tools capable of extracting knowledge from images.
